Integrating wellness allows us to Restore, Relax as well as have meaningful experiences that fill us and inspire us. The world is beautiful and stepping out of routine is a great way to remind us of that.
How can I help?
I enjoy explaining things and making the connections on why suggestions are relevant. I noticed that when my patients understood the why something is useful or how it works, it made it easier for them to apply it in successful ways We can often keep repeating the same set of well intentioned exercises or eating the same foods and end up wondering why we are not feeling as good as we thought we should from all our effort.
A new way to look at self care:
Sometimes, what most people feel is causing their issue is only a symptom or an effect rather than the root cause. Even though well meaning , instead of creating change ,we end up using self care tools and mindfulness tools as a way to cope with life rather than to change the experience of stress and its effects.
So what if we are able to reinterpret as well as recognize the stress response in our physical body and make changes before it activates. That is when life gets interesting and we become empowered .
By creating choice for ourselves, we stop the cycle of building up stress effects and instead create a pause and a choice to create a different response.
So why does it matter?
When we are focused and centered we become super athletes, inventors and artists in whatever we are doing . We become patient with our children and we laugh more.
What can we create together in our families, workplace and communities if we all take some action to dissipate stress and make shifts to enjoy more of life even in its challenges,
Collaboration and connection, solutions for a well world & care of the planet
what world will we create from there?
Thats my big vision, and the momentum I wish to contribute to.
I provide private and semi private sessions by appointment . I use my 25 years of clinical Chiropractic experience and training to provide assessment and bodywork that integrates low force techniques for a full body and system based approach . This includes activator spinal adjustments, Myofascial Release Techniques , Craniosacral Therapy as well as exercises to manage self care and recovery ,nervous system balance & lifestyle tools that drive more of your Regenerative pathways and less of the degenerative ones that are activated by Stress.

Most people have come to see me for opinions on body related pain and imbalance. What I have found over these last number of years is that the body is a great teacher about our selves and the way we often show up out of habits, compensations and patterns based on choices that were formed when we did not have complete information or the life experience to choose a healthier option.
So how do we build the foundations for improved Capacity in our lives? A healthy body allows us to have the energy to create more , it allows us to rest and recover and to enjoy the day as we go along. Do you jump out of bed excited for your day and do you rest at night fulfilled with the experiences you had. These need not be grand adventures, but when we are connected ,the giggles of a child, the dog chasing its tail and a simple meal can be appreciated.
Who knew good posture and a strong core was about more than looking good and not having an aching back .

Susan has a Workshop series based on the SOuL Breath Method.
The workshops are The Shapeshift Effect, Rise Up and Simply Creative.
They build on each other and cover how the nervous system is an essential part of wellbeing, how mapping creates healthy habits and how to actually do that in the context of your everyday life. They are customized to specific group needs, have been run as self care continuing education days for professional groups, and as wellness retreat events

I also have the privilege to collaborate with others using horses to create unique ways to facilitate wellbeing and problem solving . The intention is to help in creating flexibility in thinking, getting out of our Survival brain and creating improved relationships for teams and between team members.
I can come onsite to offer workshops or lunch time short seminars about the tools for a healthy lifestyle and to help in creating a culture of wellbeing.
I also have the privilege to collaborate with others using horses to create unique ways to facilitate wellbeing and problem solving and create happier and improved relationships for teams and between team members.
One of my passions is to travel, anyone who knows me or even has met me briefly picks that up from me fairly quickly. I find for myself, travel is one of my best teachers on how I am viewing the world and to show me how readily I am in the moment. When I have no idea of directions, whether a store is a grocery shop or selling computers because it is unfamiliar, it opens me to looking around more. I have to engage and have conversations with people to get directions and suggestions. Instead of completing errands I get lost and have fun because there is an interesting alley way that turns out to bring me to a cafe where I meet someone who changes my perspective with a simple conversation. Thats how I like to live life and travel is how I practice that.
It is not about taking a vacation from my life, it is about learning how to be more engaged and involved with my daily tasks and routines and carry that magic into as many moments as I can. My thought always when I find these moments is,
how can I share them with others.
I hope to do so by creating opportunities for small groups to travel together and
to create unique experiences like horse yoga and a picnic .
My approach is not to be a guide and create structured itineraries but to share what I know to make it easy to get to a place for those who are not comfortable as a solo traveller or those wanting to share experiences with others of like mind. To create an opportunity to come together, offer activities that Rest, Restore and Inspire and then let your own self create your experiences and adventures as the trip unfolds.
